Colorado Governor Jared Polis IYM2022 launch remarks
Apr 29, 2022Thank you to Colorado Governor Jared Polis for his statements in support of mountains at the April 28 opening ceremony of the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development 2022. The Governor's calls-to-action, commitment and desire to step up sustainability efforts in mountain areas will contribute significantly to the IYM2022 momentum.
And thanks to all who watched the event. Over 360 people from around the world tuned in to the Zoom event, and many more watched the Facebook livestream. The IISD (International Institute or Sustainable Development) published this report on the ceremony, including videos of select statements and screenshots of speakers. AIMF was honored to be involved in the planning the event and we congratulate the Mountain Partnership on a successful launch!
